I was at a resort at Florida, waiting for a water taxi when suddenly a little autistic girl walked over, hugged me, told me she loved me, and wouldn’t stop playing with my wavy red hair. When the taxi came, I heard her mom say to her, “So you got to meet Ariel after all!” Disney believers GMH.

When I was in grade 1 or 2, we were having a present exchange. The poorest boy in the class had to give a present to a girl. He brought a homade necklace made out of paperclips and a few flowers. When the girl recieved the present, she had a smile from ear to ear. Frankie, you inspire me to this day and GMH.

For three days I was so sick I couldn’t get out of bed. My 8 year old daughter came in and sat with me the whole time despite being bored. I told her she could go play but her reply was “I don’t want you to be alone Mommy.” Little girls with big hearts GMH.

My cousin Adrienne had a son when she was only 19, and she has to support him with a job at a resturaunt. Today, on Valentine’s Day he went to his piggy bank, took out all the money and put it in his bucket. My wife and I are certified foster parents. Last year, we took in a sibling group of 3. When we sat down for dinner on Thanksgiving, we asked them for what are they thankful? The oldest said that she was thankful that we were giving them a better life. We are still fostering those three today.

This monday the 8th graders had a test. Being in the advanced classes I got to skip it and watch the 6th grade field days. This little boy with downs syndrome was doing shot put. He had to use a tennis ball instead. He didn’t throw it very far but still, everybody cheered him on. 6th grade boys GMH.

I told her my name was Julia, and she said that was a pretty name. She then told me that it was perfect fit for me because I was pretty, too. Kids who care GMH.

Today, I discovered a youtube page made by a girl who gives advice to others. She says she wants to make a change in the world by helping people with their problems. She’s already helped two people coping with suicidal thoughts. This girl is only 14. Elthia, you truly GMH.
Things have been rough lately. Today I was sitting at home feeling worse than usual and feeling alone. My little brother burst through the door all smiles because his friend gave him half a chocolate bar. He ran up to me, gave me a hug, and gave me half. My brother’s perfect timing and kindness GMH.
While I was in NYC, I saw a young girl, about 8 tug on her father’s shirt while approaching a homeless man with a can for change. She asked her father for some money to give to the man, but he declined, saying that the homeless man wasn’t really poor. She secretly pulled pennies from her coat pocket and placed it in the can. That little girl GMH.
My mom and I never got along well. One day it was particularly bad, and I went to my room to cry. I had been in there for a while when my 3 year old brother toddled in, put his hands on either side of my face, and asked “Why are you sad, big sister?” And kissed me all over my face. He GMH.
My nephew Landyn has a hard life and is only 8. Passed between parents and other struggles doesn’t stop him from smiling or helping others. His cousin Cameron couldn’t do a puzzle and even though Landyn was not feeling well and my aunt’s dog scratched his arm, he still helped Cameron. Landon, you give me hope for the future.
