I am going through a nasty custody battle over my 19 month old son. I dropped my son off last week after my visitation and started crying because I would miss him so much. I gave him to his mother and he motioned to be put down. As she put him down he walked over to me, hugged my leg, gave me a kiss and said “Da Da no cry”. My son’s undying love GMH

Today my little brother told me that he wanted to take flowers to our older brother for Christmas. He said that Rob would really like to get some. Our brother has been dead for two years. I cried as I watched my little brother lay the flowers on Rob’s grave and tell him how much he loved him. That kind of love GMH.
I spend my Saturdays volunteering in an orphanage in Mongolia. The kids are about five years old, and love to play. Despite having a hard life, and not even speaking the same language as the volunteers, they have the biggest smiles on their faces when we come to play with them. These kids GMH.
I shaved my head for cancer and donated all of the money I raised to send a little boy to Beijing for treatment. I met the parents to give them the money, and they showed me a picture of their son. He lost an eye to cancer, but has the biggest smile on his face I have ever seen. He GMH
I have cancer and I have to wear a mask over my mouth in public.
I was at church the other day when a little boy asked if he could see it. I gave it to him and he went away with it.
When he gave it back I saw he had drawn a smile on it. His exact words were “now we can still see your pretty smile even if it’s covered!”

My little brother Gerard, is the most thoughtful person I know. Every day he goes out of his way to make my ill mother who has cancer feel like fighting more. This week he has held cake stalls and sat in the cold and played his little guitar to raise some money to take his mummy on a trip to Paris. Boo Your Love - KGMH
Today my 5 year old son had a Rememberance Day Ceremony at school. When I picked him up from daycare and asked him how it went, he said “good but I almost started crying.” I asked him why and he told me “because of all the soldiers that died for us”. My KGMH
My daughter and I were walking through a park when we spotted a lesbian couple kissing.
I was afraid she was going to say something rude, because she was only 4 years old.
She says to me “Mommy look! A real fairy tale couple. They’re so pretty!”

My white friend was holding an African baby while on a mission trip. One of the little girls from the village came up to her and asked “is that your baby?”

Today, at a Christmas Market,
I walked past two kids, one boy and one girl. Both were very young. The boy says to the girl: ‘Doesn’t being here make you love life?’ Children who are too young to understand life fully, yet appreciate the small things in life GMH.
I was listening to a song from Glee sung by two male characters. My 6 year old sister asked if they were in love. I said that yeah, maybe they were, but then explained that they couldn’t get married.
She looked at me sadly and yelled “That’s not fair!”

Today I was crying because I felt ugly and unloved. My 8 year old nephew that lives in the room next to mine comes in my room and tells me whoever doesn’t think I’m the most beautiful girl in the world will get their butts kicked by him. I love my nephew, and he always GMH
I was at an electronics store when I saw an employee playing Mario Kart with a little boy. They were sharing a single controller, working together to play the game. The boy had only one arm and wouldn’t have been able to play the game otherwise. The boy’s smile was a mile wide. Those two GMH.
I used to be negative about myself because I had cancer. But one day, my younger 6-year-old sister’s friend said to me: “When I grow up, I want to be as brave as you.” Then she gave me on big hug. That one hug helped me survive cancer. She GMH.
Today I was eating lunch at the mall and noticed a girl about 16 years old nonchalantly putting quarters in every single candy machine on the first floor. She then took an escalator to the second floor and watched with a smile as kids became happy and excited when they discovered the money. She GMH.
Today, I was on postsecret.com and I read an e-mail message that said “As a child, when the “tooth fairy” left money under my pillow, I would sneak the few dollars I got back into my mom’s purse. She was a hard working single mom.” GMH
I was sitting on the bus, depressed, and I had this little girl looking at me. She and smiled and asked “You look sad…did your fish die? My sister’s fish died and she was sad…but then she got another one and was happy again so don’t worry…you can get another fish.” She then got off the bus with her mom.
I work in a bank - a place where good news is hard to come by recently. Today I spoke with a gentleman who told me he needed to know how much money he had. When I asked if he had a large purchase coming up, he said yes.
“I’m buying clothes for the man who asks me for a quarter every day on my way to school,” he replies.
This gentleman was 12. GMH
I was in the store with my stepmom. I saw a man walking with the help of crutches through the aisle. A little girl, about five or six ran up to him and hugged his legs. When he asked her why, she said: “My mommy says hugs make everything better. I hope you get all better!” Little girls like her GMH
Mu sister Rachel went to a birthday party last night for a girl, Katherine, who has autism. She told me she was the only one going, all the girls thought Katherine was weird.
“No one should be alone on their birthday,” Rachel said to me.

My aunt was explaining to my five year old cousin that people got married because they loved each other and were each others best friends. He replied that he was going to marry his best friend too.

Yesterday I saw an old lady struggling to lift her foot onto the first step outside a department store. As soon as the little boy coming out of the doors with his mum saw her, he rushed over to take her arm and help her up the stairs. His mum looked so proud.

Yesterday I was watching the nightly local news. A story came up about a 2nd grade girl who was diagnosed with leukemia and lost her hair. A boy in her class not ONLY shaved his head so she wouldn’t be alone, he also got their whole class to do it too. I cried.
Good people, at all ages, GMH.
My husband is in the army and has been deployed for 6 months now. My 4 year old daughter wrote a letter to Santa and the only thing she asked for was for her daddy to come home and be standing next to the tree on Christmas morning. Grace, your love for daddy gave me hope
I’ve been depressed for a while now. Today, I was walking by myself through the park, remembering the past, with tears down my face. A really jumpy little boy ran up to me, and told me to smile. He didn’t leave until I smiled at him, then he gave me a hug and kissed my hand. True gentlemen GMH
My little sister is 9. She was diagnosed with cancer when she was 2. She can’t remember not having cancer.
Today, she begged me to bake cookies with her to thank the ‘hospital people’.
These are the people who poke her and put new chemicals in her body causing her so much pain, and she wants to thank them.

My boyfriend broke up with me right before my school’s dance. When I was getting ready my little cousin asked me why I didn’t have a date and I told him why. His response was “Well, that guy is an idiot. You are the most beautiful girl I know. I’ll be your date.” He is only 5. Ben your love GMH!
Yesterday, I walked out of the movie theater crying. Why? I saw my best friend and the guy I love make out, right in front of me. As I ran to the washroom, a little girl in there, told me to ‘cheer up, and he isn’t worth it’. Even though he so is worth it, her hope GMH.
I always thought I’m ugly & very self conscious about my looks. During my birthday celebration, a little girl came with her mum.
Her mum asked her what does she want to be when she grew up.
She pointed at me and said, “as pretty as the angel in red.” I was the only one in red in the room. KGMH
My sister is in first grade. Her “boyfriend” was coming over to hang out with her. She was wearing sweatpants, so I said, “Lola, don’t you want to look pretty for your boyfriend?” She said, “I look pretty already, he tells me I look pretty no matter what I’m wearing.” Lola & Brandon, you both GMH
My mom died 2 years ago and we got a ton of cards from people but there is only one I really remember. It was from a little girl my sister knew, her card was a picture of my sister, me, and her family. It read, “I’m sorry you lost your mommy :( If you ever need one we can share mine!” Caring kids GMH
On the return bus trip from my night class, I noticed a very young girl fawning over my bright pink hair. Her mother discouraged her from bothering me or speaking with strangers, especially “troubled teens.” Instead, the child retorted, “She’s not troubled, Mommy— she’s a princess!” Becoming royalty for a day GMH.
When my daughter was six she told me she was never going to have children and adopt instead. I asked why and she told me there were too many children in the world without a home.
Today she is 35 and has adopted four children from all different nationalities. My daughter GMH
A couple months ago, my little brother came home from his first day in kindergarten. When I asked him about his class, he said “there’s a girl in my class, and she’s so pretty!” The girl he was talking about is a bald 5 year old with leukemia. His unconditional love GMH.
My little cousin used the metro for the first time. A 85 year old man entered the car and stood silently in the crowd. Every single adult in the wagon looked down and pretended to not see. Everyone except my little cousin. He stood up and gave the old man his seat. Juan, your respect for elders GMH.
My brother and I went to the store this morning. On our way out he asked me for a Hershey’s bar, so I bought one. As we left, he saw a homeless man. After I told him that the man had no home or food, my brother ran up to him and handed him his Hershey’s bar, and said, “Happy Thanksgiving!” KGMH.
I am a 1st grade teacher at a very small school. I have one boy with Down Syndrome named John who joined our class late and only comes half days. As we went around the table and said what we were thankful for, two of my boys said that they were thankful for John! My students’ acceptance GMH!
Today as i was sitting down eating dinner at a restaurant with a friend.
I witnessed a little 2 year old girl struggling to get down the stairs as her sister (about age 4 or 5) picked her up by the waist and helped her down. Love for her younger sister GMH
I babysit 2 kids who were adopted from separate families. When the boy’s baby sister was sleeping, I asked him what his reaction was when he first saw her. All he said was. “She was so beautiful. I just cried.” He’s five. His love for his adopted sister is amazing. KGMH!!
A very sweet, quiet 22 year old lives in my apartment building. Recently his wife passed away. Since then, he’s been extremely upset. The other day, I saw him coming home. He looked like he’d been crying. A 6 year old ran up to him and asked, “David, will you at least smile for Lia, wherever she is?” And through his tears, he did.
My nephew goes on the website for the humane society just to pray for the dog who need homes. He’s only nine. His love for animals who have been abused GMH
